Bicameralism means legislature having two chambers
U K,USA, INDIA and about 80 countries adopted bicameralism
Out of 28 states,Seven states of Indian union having legislative Assembly and Legislative council.Two union territories have bicameral legislative assemblies
Indian Parliament have two houses ,Upper house Rajyasabha(house of state)and lower house Loksabha(members elected by people directly)In Rajysabha members are elected by proportional representation.Each state has membership according the population of the state.
The second chamber of Legislature poduce checks and balance the executive , judiciary and other house
Second chamber corrects faulty legislation passed by other house.
Two houses of legislature protects the interest of minority,protects the federal structure of the country, ,since the election of members in prapotional representation by electoral collegium
